FAQ

General Questions

What are the benefits of aluminium windows and doors?

Aluminium windows and doors are strong, slim, modern, and long-lasting. They allow for larger glass areas, better sightlines, excellent durability, and very low maintenance compared to other materials.

Are aluminium windows and doors energy efficient?

Yes. Modern aluminium systems use thermal breaks and high-performance glazing to achieve excellent energy efficiency and meet UK building regulations.

Do aluminium windows and doors rust or corrode?

No. Aluminium does not rust, and all frames are powder-coated to a marine grade for extra protection against weather and corrosion.

Do aluminium windows and doors need much maintenance?

No. Just occasional cleaning with warm soapy water is usually enough to keep them looking great.

Are aluminium windows and doors suitable for UK weather?

Yes. They are designed and tested to withstand wind, rain, and temperature changes common in the UK climate.

Buying & Choosing

How do I choose between bifold, sliding, or French doors?

Think about opening space, sightlines, and how you’ll use the area. Bifolds fully open, sliders maximise glass, and French doors are a classic, simple option.

Can I have different colours inside and outside?

Yes. Dual colour options are available on all systems. Just note this may incur a longer lead time.

Are integral blinds available?

Yes, integral blinds can be fitted inside the glass unit on many window and door systems. Please see colour options here

Measuring & Ordering

How do I measure for aluminium windows and doors?

You measure the opening in 3 places: top, bottom and middle, on both the width and height. Take the smallest measurement and subtract your fitting clearance from this. The size you order is the size we will make the doors.

What information do I need to place an order?

You’ll need your sizes, opening direction, colour choice, glazing options, and any extras like trickle vents or handles.

How can I place my order?

We've tried to make ordering accebile for everyone by offering lots of different options! You can order online via our shop, fill in our order form which can be found here, or simply call/visit us and we can fill in a form for/with you.

Should I measure myself or get my builder/installer to measure?

Anyone can measure an opening, however we would always recommend that the person fitting the product measures.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Can you store my order until I’m ready?

In some cases, yes. Please contact us to discuss storage options before ordering.

Do you offer installation or supply only?

We are supply only. We may be able to recomend an installer depending on area.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.

Aftercare & Returns

Can I change or cancel my order?

Because products are made to measure, changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started, please make contact with the team as soon as possible, as it may not be too late to alter or cancel. We cannot promise it will be possible though.

What if my order arrives damaged?

In the rare case an order arrives damaged, please report the damage straight away to our driver, depending on the damage we may bring the product back to our factory to fix. We try to act as swiftly as possible in these instances to give our customers the least amount of disruption.
